Seven Kidnapped victims have died in captivity due to hunger and starvation in Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.
The victims were abducted three months ago from the Ruwan Doruwa community in the Maru Local Government Area of the state by suspected bandits.
Reports say the hunger and starvation may not be unconnected with the cut off of food supply and other essential commodities to the bandits, following the new security measures by the state government to ward off activities of the criminals.
Sources further noted that the other fourteen women were freed from their abductors after the payment of N4 million ransom.
