The Zamfara State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress has called on the National leadership of the Coalition to urgently resolve the pending issue of their two nominees amicably to avoid litigation.
The State Chairman of the ADC, Yusuf Sa’id, in a press briefing in Gusau, claimed that the Northwest coalition had nominated Dr Mika’ilu Barau, from Zamfara, as the Deputy National Organising Secretary, while Amina Iliyasu is the Deputy National Women’s Representative of People Living with disabilities.
He said those two positions were not announced by the electoral officer, identified as Lawal Batagarawa, in an election held at Treasure Hotel in Abuja.
He says a petition to its National Leadership, prompted a 14-day ultimatum to correct the anomaly, but no action has so far been taken.

Sa’id says that the leaders, the teeming members and supporters of the ADC in Zamfara considered the action as undemocratic, which, if not addressed, can cause chaos, which is why they are calling on them to do the needful to save the coalition.
