The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, has described the allegation of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), that it used military personnel to intimidate voters and party agents, as a desperate attempt to cover up their defeat in the Kaura Namoda South State Assembly by-election.
The opposition APC advised the ruling PDP, to accept the will of the people, and avoid resorting to fabrication of lies, against security agencies and its party.
The APC, through its Publicity Secretary, while briefing newsmen and reacting to the allegation, described them as baseless and unfounded, aimed at smearing the image of the security personnel, who were stationed at polling units, to prevent election malpractice by thugs.
The APC claimed that people of Kaura Namoda South came out en masse to vote for the party, and rejected the PDP.
The opposition APC’s boast that the people came out to vote for their party’s candidate in the by-election that INEC has declared inconclusive, is an indication that the people will vote for APC in the 2027 General Election.
