The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed condolences with the State Government and families of the nine personnel of the Zamfara State Community Protection Guards killed in an ambush by terrorists on the outskirts of Tsafe Local Government Area of the State.
The party in a statement, said it received with shock and serious concern news of the last Monday’s attack
It said the ambush by fleeing terrorists on these security guards who sacrificed their lives in order to bring peace to the troubled communities will definitely not go unpunished as the ongoing onslaught against them in the northwestern States by the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Defence will fish out the culprits and make sure they face the consequences of their actions.
The APC called on the State Government to assist the families of the deceased, and it encouraged other Community Protection Guards not to be dissuaded by the unfortunate development but be more vigilant.
All communities in the state to were urged to alert security personnel when they notice movement of terrorists before they carry out their work of evil
