Suspected terrorists are reported to have killed two when they launched an attack on Mayanchi Town in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.
The terrorists also abducted eleven people, including the two children of a late journalist, Ibrahim Mayanchi and their mother.
The incident was said to have occurred at midnight on Monday, July 31, 2023.
The locals narrated that the suspected terrorists stormed Mayanchi town in large numbers, shooting sporadically.
Those abducted include the Chairman of the vigilante group in the troubled community.

Members of the community are asking Nigerians to pray for the safe return of the abductees, and for God to intervene in the prevailing security challenges bedeviling Zamfara State.
