At least two people have been killed by suspected terrorists who launched an attack on Maraduna town, the headquarters of Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria.
The terrorists whisked away thirty other people to unknown location.
The incident was said to have occurred in the early hours of Friday, at about 2 a.m.
The terrorists were said to have started shooting sporadically, lasting for about two hours, and moved from house to house ransacking.

The thirty people abducted were men, women and children.
A traditional ruler, whose house was ransacked by the terrorists, expressed worry over the prevailing insecurity in the troubled town.
Maradun town is the home town of the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Mohammed, and the residents are calling for his intervention over the security challenges in the troubled area.
