The Commissioner of Police in Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria, Muhammad Dalijan, has decorated Fifty-four promoted senior police officers of the command with their new ranks.
Those decorated are the beneficiaries of the recent promotions released by the Police Service Commission, (PSC), on October 12, 2023.
In a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officers, Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Yazid Abubakar, the promotions include; three Superintendents of Police, (SP), who have been eleveted to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police, (CSP), and fifty-one (51) Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP), also moved to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, (DSP).
Among the beneficiaries are; the Chief Imam of the Command, SP Suleiman Al-Hassan, who is now promoted to the rank of CSP, and ASPs Aminu Magawata, Buhari Yandoto, and Hassan Abdullahi, who were promoted to the rank of DSP.
The Commissioner of Police, Zamfara Command, CP Muhammad Dalijan, congratulated the newly promoted officers and urged them to note that a change in their status signifies additional responsibilities.
He charged them to put in more commitment and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
CP Dalijan also warned them to be disciplined and hardworking.
One of the newly promoted officers, CSP Ken Akujinwa, who spoke on behalf of the other officers, thanked the Almighty God for making what he described as a “remarkable day” possible for them, and further expressed their profound gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olukakayode Egbetokun, and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, (PSC), IGP Solomon Arase (retired), for the opportunity and honour to be promoted.
He assured the Inspector General of Police, on behalf of the other beneficiaries, that they would remain committed and dedicated to their duties, as enshrined in their constitutional mandate.
