The outgoing Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, Ayuba Elkana, has called on officers and men of the command to continue to carry out their responsibilities with integrity, honesty, sincerity and professionalism, to earn the acceptance and respect of the public.





He made the call during a pull-out parade for him in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, after putting in 32 years of active policing for the nation.
The retired CP Elkana, noted that policing has changed, and is still changing in contemporary times because it is not only about arrest, investigation or prosecution, but also about ensuring a stable democracy, which would engender good governance, as well as create enabling environment for citizens to go about their lawful activities.

He enjoined senior officers to sustain the already established working synergy with the government, other security agencies and the people of the state, to rid Zamfara State of banditry.
The Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Hassan Nasiha, who represented Governor Bello Mohammed, thanked the outgoing CP for his understanding, cooperation and support, in the fight against banditry, which has resulted in normalcy returning to some parts of the state.
The Pull out Parade for CP Ayuba Elkana was attended by all heads of security agencies in Zamfara State, and some members of the public.
