Zamfara State Government has distributed N25Million to the families of those killed in terror attacks on Tsafe Local Government Area of the State last Thursday.
Presenting the financial assistance to the families on behalf of Governor Bello Mohammed at the Palace of the Emir Of Tsafe, the Deputy Speaker of Zamfara State House of Assembly, Musa Bawa, said the assistance was meant to serve as relief to the families of the victims.
A statement by the Director of Information in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Bashir Ahmad, said Bawa described the attack as unfortunate.
He added that the administration of Governor Bello Mohammed will continue to devise means of dealing with the ugly situation in the State.
Bawa further extended Governor Mohammed’s condolences to the families of the victims, people of the affected communities and the Tsafe Local Government Council, over the sad incident.

The Emir Of Tsafe, Muhammadu Bawa, thanked Governor Bello Mohammed for responding within 48 hours to the plight of the victims’ families and the affected communities.
Similarly, the State Government through the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development distributed 561 bags of food stuff, clothes and other non-food items, to 428 Internally Displaced Persons, (IDPs), from the 15 communities in Tsafe Town.
The Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Fa’ika Ahmad, explained that the intervention to the IDPs was part of the ministry’s response to the displaced persons, to cushion their situation.
The Sole Administrator of Tsafe Local Government Council, Aminu Mudi assured continuous support to the administration of the Governor against banditry activities.
