The State coordinator of the AGILE Programme, Saadatu Gusau, made this known during a one-day capacity-building workshop for stakeholders in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital.

The objective of the programme is to reduce the number of Adolescent girls of school age from the streets, as available data indicates that 62 per cent of children in Zamfara State are out of school while 60 per cent of girls are subjected to early marriage, thereby denying them access to basic education.
