Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has tasked the 2025 Amirul Hajj Committee, with ensuring the general well-being of Zamfara contingents, throughout the pilgrimage.
A statement by the Zamfara State governor’s spokesman, Sulaiman Idris, revealed that the Emir of Maradun, Garba Muhammad Tambari, will serve as the 2025 Amirul Hajj and chairman of the committee.

The committee also includes the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, who serves as Vice Chairman, and the Executive Secretary of the Zakat Board, as secretary.
While inaugurating the committee, Governor Lawal told them that the Zamfara State Government, has placed confidence in them to ensure that every aspect of the 2025 Hajj operation is executed with excellence, dignity, and sincerity.

Governor Lawal urged them to maintain a strong working relationship with the Zamfara State Hajj Commission, relevant federal agencies, and the Saudi partners, to ensure smooth coordination and real-time problem-solving.

He added that they must embrace openness, accountability, and compassion in all their dealings, knowing fully that the lives and spiritual journeys of hundreds of citizens are in their care.

Governor Dauda Lawal assured that the State Government will provide all the necessary support, to ensure that their mandate’s are discharged effectively, as the state government would expect timely progress reports, and at the end of the exercise, a comprehensive report that captures achievements, challenges, and policy recommendations for future pilgrimages.
