Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has been honoured with the Governor of the Year award in London, in recognition of his administration’s strides in education and governance.
The award follows his swift payment of outstanding N3.4 billion owed for West African examinations, including West African Examinations Council and National Examinations Council, as well as the reconstruction and rehabilitation of schools across 14 local government areas in Zamfara State.

The governor’s strategic interventions aimed at long-term development and tackling insecurity through improved access to education were highlighted as key achievements.
A statement by his spokesperson, Suleiman Idris, noted that the award was presented by Triangle Media International Magazine, recognizing Lawal as an outstanding leader.
