Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has signed into law the 2026 Appropriation Bill, approving an expenditure plan of over Eight Hundred and Sixty-One Billion Naira, weeks after presenting the budget to members of the State House of Assembly.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by members of the Zamfara State House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Bilyaminu Ismail, the Secretary to the State Government, the Chief of Staff, and other members of the State Executive Council
The approved budget aligns with the earlier proposal totaling ₦861.337 billion.
Out of this amount, ₦147.28 billion, representing 17 percent, is allocated for recurrent expenditure, while 83 percent of the budget is earmarked for capital projects signaling the government’s focus on infrastructure development and improved service delivery across the state.
