Zamfara Gov’s Wife, Hurriya Disburses Cash Grant To 100 Women Traders

The Wife of the Zamfara State Governor, Hurriya Lawal, has empowered one hundred women with a cash grant of N300,000 to N500,000 each to expand their businesses and improve their families’ living conditions.

She disbursed the funds to the women at the Government House in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, where she told the beneficiaries that the Dauda Lawal-led administration trust their vision, efforts to grow.

Speaking during the disbursement of the cash grant to the one hundred women, Hurriya Lawal said the programme aligns with her husband, Governor Dauda Lawal’s vision of inclusive development, where no one is left behind, and putting the women at the centre of growth.

She reiterated that the welfare of women, children and the vulnerable remains the top priority of the Governor Dauda Lawal-led administration, and is poised to pull them out of poverty to prosperity.

The Chairman of Talata Mafara Local Government Area of the State, Yahaya Yari appreciates the Governor’s wife commitment and dedication to helping women to improve their means of livelihood.

The Cash grant to the one hundred women is aimed at turning around the economic fortunes of the beneficiaries and their families, boosting their small-scale businesses, thereby reviving the Zamfara State’s economy, which banditry activities have destroyed.
