The Zamfara State Government says plans are underway to leverage the state’s vast natural resources to promote economic growth and sustainable development.
The state plans to achieve this through strategic partnerships with foreign investors, development partners, and international organisations.
According to a statement released by the state Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, the state is working to attract significant investment, generate employment opportunities, and improve infrastructure, particularly within the mining sector, which holds immense potential for the state’s economic transformation.
The statement says the said the vision was articulated by the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Kasimu Kaura, during the Solid Minerals Development Summit and Exhibition, held in Pakistan.
The commissioner is quoted as highlighting the state’s proactive approach in promoting responsible resource management practices, that prioritize environmental sustainability, and community well-being.
A statement by the Information Officer of the Ministry, Abubakar Aliyu, said the vision was articulated by the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Kasimu Kaura, during the Solid Minerals Development Summit and Exhibition, held in Pakistan.
According to the commissioner, by working closely with key stakeholders, Zamfara State is positioning itself to accessing cutting-edge technology, technical know-how, and funding needed to modernise its mining operations, efforts that will help ensure the sector’s growth, while preserving the environment for future generations.
Kaura also praised the leadership of Governor Dauda Lawal for unlocking the full potential of Zamfara’s natural resources and continuing to inspire meaningful progress.
