Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mohammed, says his administration will utilize the three Digital Emergency Call Centres provided by the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy to end banditry in the state.
The governor in a statement by his Director General, Public Enlightenment, Media and Communication, Yusuf Idris, said the governor made this known when he visited the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy in Abuja.

Governor Mohammed said his administration is determined to utilize the digital emergency call centres to the maximum and ensure that the purposes to which they were established are achieved.
The governor explained that technology plays a very vital role in securing societies globally, and his government has resolved to utilize all the centres constructed in the state, to bring an end to banditry and other crimes committed in the state, adding that with proper utilization of the new system, the country will return to its old glory of peaceful coexistence among all tribes and religions.
The statement quoted the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, as saying all the centres provided in Zamfara state are specifically for security and employment purposes and will become fully operational soon.
The Minister is also quoted in the statement to have commended the proactive posture of Governor Bello Mohammed in tackling insecurity in the Zamfara state government’s development drive.
