Zamfara insecurity: Suspected terrorists sack Mada community

Mada Community in Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State, have been overrun by Suspected terrorists who launched an attack on the community.

Sources from the community say residents of the troubled communities have left the Community as a result of the incessant attacks which resulted in killings, abduction and cattle rustling.

The latest attacks in the troubled community and surrounding villages was that of last Thursday when the terrorists stormed the villages and attacked the community killing one local vigilante operative and abducted seven residents in the affected villages.

The terrorists also returned to the mada community last Friday and launched fresh attack on the community killing twelve Persons.

The locals said the terrorists invaded the villages at about 5pm firing gun-shots at the residents and succeeded in abducting three Persons.

The Villages attacked by the terrorists are Gidan Bangi and Ruwan-bore at Mada district Gusau local Government.

Reports say many of the residents of Mada community have fled their homes to Kwatarkwashi community in Bungudu local Government Area of the State.

Efforts to get the state Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Mohammed Shehu to confirm the incident was unsuccessful as he did not respond to calls or text message sent to him.
