The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Zamfara State Chapter has expressed its profound sorrow and deepest condolences following the tragic loss of innocent lives in the recent airstrike mishap at Tungar Kara in Maradun Local Government Area of the State.

In a statement by its Publicity Secretary, the Party said, “Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of the victims, whose lives were cut short in this unfortunate incident, and described it as a devastating loss, and it stands in solidarity with all those affected by this tragedy”.

It commends the ongoing efforts by the Nigerian military in their relentless fight against banditry in the state, while the PDP acknowledged the inherent risks of such operations, the protection of innocent citizens and the restoration of peace to communities must remain the foremost priority.

The statement said the PDP is confident that the military, with the support of Governor Dauda Lawal, will continue to work diligently to secure the safety and well-being of the people of Zamfara State and beyond.

“The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also extends its heartfelt sympathies to the Government of Zamfara State, the Maradun Emirate, and all affected communities, saying “it understands the pain and grief that comes with such a tragic event.

The party assured you that our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims as they mourn this great loss”

It says the PDP remain steadfast in its support for the restoration of peace and stability in the state, emphasising that the lives of innocent civilians must be safeguarded at all costs, and it urges the relevant authorities to implement measures that will prevent the recurrence of such tragic incidents in the future.
