The new Six-man Caretaker Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in Zamfara State says, it will leave no stone unturned to refocus the party and improve the performance of Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration, which came on the mantra of rescuing the people of the state.
The Publicity Secretary of the party, Haliru Andy, said this while speaking exclusively with AIT News in Gusau, the state capital.
He was speaking about the PDP’s plans to improve the welfare of the citizens.
Before the appointment of the six-man caretaker committee, the Chief of Staff to the Zamfara State Governor, Mouktar Lugga, was the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in Zamfara State, in an acting capacity.
The party recently appointed a six-man caretaker committee, chaired by Dr Jamil Magayaki from Zamfara North, Secretary Naziru Ibrahim, Deputy Chairman Ishaka Abubakar, Zonal Vice Chairman Central Kabiru Musa, Legal Adviser Mainasara Samaila, and the State Publicity Secretary, Haliru Andy.

The new executives of the party said it has mapped out strategies on how best to improve the PDP administration’s performance, to deliver on their electioneering campaign to the people, and unite their members.
On the allegations of the major opposition All Progressives Congress, (APC), of the PDP administration hijacking the allocation of the federal government fertilizer, claiming it bought it, the PDP denied the issue and said the APC is still suffering from the hangover of defeat from the last governorship election.
The PDP emphasized that Governor Dauda Lawal’s government will not be distracted, but remain focused on providing purposeful leadership, and ensuring the welfare of all citizens, as well as improving infrastructure for sustainable development across Zamfara State.
