Zamfara Security: CP Elkana to strengthen security, flush out bandits from state

The new Commissioner of Police, CP in Zamfara State, Ayuba Elkana, has said that he will strengthen the security architecture and onslaught against the bandits in the state.

He also assured the people of the state of police commitment and determination, to improve security across Zamfara State.

CP Ayuba Elkana said this during his maiden press briefing at the Command Headquarters in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital.

The newly posted Commissioner of Police said that community policing would be strengthened and would carry the people along so that together with the Nigeria Police Force, they can checkmate the activities of recalcitrant bandits, who have refused to embrace the peace initiative of the state government.

He expressed the readiness of the Zamfara State Police Command, to prosecute the ongoing war against insecurity in the state and to ensure the return of peace and order.

The new CP disclosed that policing will be driven by intelligence and foreknowledge, and be guided by strategic, operational, tactical levels, and be proactive, to prevent crimes and criminalities.

He warned bandits, to key into the peace initiative, by surrendering their arms or face the full wrath of the law.

The CP assured Zamfara residents, that the police under his watch, will discharge its mandate, in line with the constitutional provisions and professional ethics of the force.
