Zamfara security: Operatives repel two separate attacks in Kucheri

Security Operatives have repelled two separate attacks in Kucheri along Tsafe-Funtua Zaria road and at Mareri area of Gusau metropolis where Suspected terrorists invaded the community and abducted the Director General Zamfara State mass Transit, Aminu Papa last Saturday night.

The abducted person was, however, rescued after security and vigilante operatives were quickly mobilized to the scene.

The State commissioner for Information Ibrahim Dosara and that of internal Security and Home Affairs, DIG Mamman Tsafe retired made this known while addressing journalists on efforts being made by the State Government to end the insecurity bedeviling Zamfara State.

Zamfara State Government said, it has been making tremendous efforts, to rid the State of terrorists, in order to ensure peaceful and secure environment, for residents of the State.

The government said, these efforts are evident with Several terrorists neutralized by security operatives, and the rescue of Two thousand, one hundred and fifteen abducted victims, from captivity.

The commissioners for information, Ibrahim Dosara and that of internal Security and Home Affairs, DIG Mamman Tsafe emphasized the need for all hands, to be on deck towards ensuring the success of the State Government commitment, to eliminate the terrorists and bring about peace, in the State.

On the recent reopening of the schools in Zamfara State after the 5-Months closure, they said govermor Bello Mohammed has directed the Ministry of Education to immediately recruit 110 teachers to conduct extra – lessons for the students in order to cover the lost period.

The state Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Kabiru Attahiru said, Zamfara State has 200 secondary Schools, while 85 were classified as red, 75 as green and 40 as yellow in the State.

The commissioner for Information Ibrahim Dosara noted that security operatives have degraded the suspected terrorists and put them on the defensive side which necessitated the reopening of the schools classified as Green and Yellow in Zamfara State.
