The Zamfara State First Lady, Aisha Mohammed, says the women empowerment programme under her office has empowered over 38,000 women in the past two years.
Mohammed made this known during the distribution of tailoring and grinding machines to 500 women, drawn from the 14 Local Government Areas of the state.

She said 250 women received tailoring machines while remaining 250 got grinding machines.
The Chairperson of the Zamfara State Women Empowerment Programme, Rabi Ibrahim said, the essence of the empowerment is to make women, financially independent, take care of their children and reduce poverty in the state.
The Zamfara State First Lady is also committed to sustaining and making the Monthly Women Empowerment Programme more vibrant, and to the benefit of the women, across the state.
