The state’s coordinator of Child Protection Network, Bachiri Sarkin Fulani, presented the boy to Governor Bello Mohammed, after his return to Nigeria.

Presenting the boy to Governor Bello Mohammed of Zamfara State, the state coordinator of Child Protection Network, Bachiri Sarkin Fulani, said the 16-year-old Fatiha Muhammed Tukur, was taken to Kaulaha, in the Republic of Senegal to pursue Islamic education.

He said the report of the whereabouts of the boy was communicated to the Zamfara State Office of the Child Protection Network, where the organization informed the State Government, through the Ministry of Women, Children Affairs and Social Development for the repatriation of the Boy back to the state.

The Zamfara State Coordinator of Child Protection Network, added that the efforts of the organization in ensuring the possible and safe return of Fatihu Muhammed Tukur, was coordinated rapidly, with the support of the state government, and other stakeholders, both in Mali and Nigeria.

Governor Bello however, warned parents to desist from taking their children abroad, to acquire Islamic education, stressing that the trend is contributing immensely to the poor upbringing of children and resulting in the breeding of social vices in the society.
