The House of Representatives investigation into the allegation of $10 million bribery against the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, and others scheduled for Thursday failed to hold.
A Federal High Court injunction surfaced on Wednesday restraining the probe panel from taking further action on the matter before it.
The House Ad-hoc Committee on Monday began investigation into the allegation by the Spokesperson of the Coalition of United Political Parties, Ikenga Ugo Chinyere; accusing Gbajabiamila and others of receiving $10 million bribe from Bill and Melinda Gate Foundation to pass the Infectious Diseases Control Bill.

The House Probe Panel summoned Ugo Chinyere to appear before it unfailingly to give testimony.
On Thursday, the House Committee failed to proceed with its planned investigative hearing with the venue kept under lock and key; fueling suspicions that the probe was stalled by the court injunction.
