13 persons burnt to death in Ondo Auto Crash

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Ondo State Sector Command has confirmed thirteen people dead in a road crash that occured on Saturday in Abule Panu near Ose Bridge on Owo/Ikare highway.

The State FRSC Sector Commander, Samuel Ibitoye in a statement said the accident which occurred at about 10:14 AM claimed the lives of thirteen commuters in two buses.

According to him, the victims were burnt beyond recognition while only one person was rescued with serious injuries.

Ibitoye said the injured was taken to Federal Medical Centre, Owo while the corpses were deposited at the hospital’s morgue.

The sector commander advised motorists to exercise patience while on the road and passionately maintain their vehicles.

He encouraged passengers to speak out against dangerous driving because road safety is a concern of all.
