At least two persons have been reported killed and about thirty tricycles burnt in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital on Wednesday evening, following a disagreement over fifty Naira transport fare between a tricycle operator and a passenger.
The sad event which occurred at Yenizue-Epie Axis of Yenagoa led to the tricycle operator stabbing to death the said passenger, Edris Douglas, who is a native of the Yenizue-Epie community.
The unfortunate incident later led to unrest, as angry youths from the area retaliated by allegedly killing the tricycle operator, and burning tricycles in sight.

The incident which lasted for hours took the combined efforts of the Bayelsa State Police Command Anti Riot Squad and the State’s Community Safety Corps, to restore normalcy in the affected areas
Meanwhile, the corpse of Idris Douglas has been evacuated to the mortuary.
