NIgeria’s Former Vice president, Atiku Abubakar, has called on Nigerians to separate themselves from those pulling the country down through regional, religious and tribal sentiments.
Atiku made the call when he received a delegation of members of the states Houses of Assembly from South East, South West and South South in Abuja.
The meeting with lawmakers from the south West, south south and southeast is in continuation of Atiku Abubakar’s consultations with PDP stakeholders ahead of the party’s primary election.
Atiku Abubakar said the enemies of the country are those using regional and religious lines to drive their political agenda and therefore called on the state lawmakers to join him to find ways to silent such elements through the ballot box.
The Coordinator of the Atiku Abubakar’s consultation team, Raymond Dokpesi, and some members of the group called on the Lawmakers to support Atiku Abubakar’s presidential ambition.
Members of the delegation pledged their unflinching support for Atiku Abubakar who they say has the capacity to deliver Nigeria from the shackles of insecurity and economic hardships.
Atiku Abubakar’s consultation team is expected to meet with other party leaders ahead of the party primary election in may 2022.
