2023 Election : NSCDC Charges Personnel on Professionalism

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Kogi State has charged its officers and men involved in election duty to display the highest form of professionalism, treat voters with civility and be apolitical.

Kogi State commandant of the corps, Ahmed Gandi who gave the charge in Lokoja, said the corps is deploying over two thousand, eight hundred personnel for the election duty.

In line with the directive of the Commandant General Of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ahmed Audi, that officers of the NSCDC going for the 2023 general election must remain apolitical, the Kogi State Commandant, Ahmad Gandi at this briefing, cautioned his men against being induced by politicians.

Gandi said the Ahmed Audi led NSCDC has ensured that their welfare packages are improved upon, hence they must reciprocate the commandant general’s kind gesture

The NSCDC is deploying over two thousand eight hundred personnel for the election across Kogi State, having the Police as the lead agency with other security and paramilitary agencies dismissing fears of attacks on voters.
