Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed says his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is not worried by the alleged plans of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to use bandits and irate youths during the upcoming General Elections.

The governor said this during a meeting with all the PDP candidates in the state at the Government House Bauchi.

He said his party, the PDP, will not be distracted by any plans by the state’s main opposition party’s candidate, to use political thugs, as a strategy to disrupt the relative peace in the state.

While assuring the people of a free, fair, credible and peaceful 2023 General Elections, Governor Bala Mohammed said PDP will not relent on seeking their candidates and party members’ cooperation, as part of plans to win the upcoming general elections, given his administration’s developmental strides.

Speaking on behalf of the party, Bauchi State PDP Chairman, Hamza Akuyam, called on the PDP candidates to embark on massive mobilization, for the success of the party, at all levels.

The continuous meeting with the candidates and the relevant stakeholders by Governor Bala Mohammed and the PDP followed the submission of the report of the reconciliation committee, recently set up by the governor.
