As Nigerians get set to go to the polls in the next three weeks, Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa has given assurance that the state government will put in place all necessary apparatus to ensure that the state and the people are safe from all forms of election violence.
Governor Diri gave the assurance this Tuesday during the weekly Executive Council Meeting in Government House, Yenagoa.
The 2023 general election is almost here with various intrigues arising daily.

Governor Douye Diri wants the people of the state to ensure they played by the law and to know that it is their civic right to vote.
The Governor also sent a clear message to political actors in the state and the Niger Delta region to put the interest of the region at heart.
Governor Diri again reiterated his belief in the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System, BVAS, as means of curtailing fraud in Nigeria’s elections.
