Political thugs have attacked the Peoples Democratic Party campaign office in Gombe state.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred at about 3 am when fifty youths stormed the office and set fire to the gates of the office with acid. Despite the efforts of some police officers at the premises the youth burnt down the gates of the office and destroyed items close to the gates.
An enraged commissioner of police Oqua Etim who came to inspect the affected office called on parents to caution their children to avoid political hooliganism but assures the police would investigate the incident.

You would recall that the said office was the centre of attention when a government agency demolished the gates of the office sparking drama that led to the detention of some journalists.
The Gombe state chairman of the PDP Ammon Kwaskebe wondered why the PDP office would attract arsonists and called on the police to act.
