The Chairman of the Governorship Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Zamfara State, and former Governor Abdulaziz Yari, has said that the party is hoping to get more than a 35 per cent increase of the votes, from what it got in the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections.
Former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari made this known, shortly after meeting with APC supporters at the four Local Governments of Gusau, Bugundu, Maru, and Tsafe, to canvass support for the party’s governorship candidate and the 24 State House of Assembly candidates, ahead of Saturday’s elections.
As Nigeria prepares to hold Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections this coming Saturday, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship Campaign Council in Zamfara State, who is also a former Governor, Abdulaziz Yari, has been engaging party supporters and stakeholders to woo support for Governor Bello Mohammed and 24 State House of Assembly candidates, ahead of Saturday’s elections.

Yari met with members and supporters of the APC at Zamfara Central Senatorial District separately, at their various local government headquarters, where he called on them to vote for Governor Bello Mohammed, and all the candidates of the party in next Saturday’s election, for the continuation of the developmental strides in the state.
In a similar vein, Senator Kabiru Marafa has also held a town hall meeting with his supporters in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, to remind them of their earlier promise to vote for APC Governorship candidate, Bello Mohammed and the 24 State House of Assembly candidates, in the coming Saturday’s election.
He appealed to them to keep the agreement.
There have been fears that supporters of the APC in Zamfara State may vote Governorship candidate of a party other than their party candidate, which is why chieftains of the party moved swiftly to convince them to vote for their Governorship candidate, Bello Mohammed, who is the incumbent Governor of the State.
