The United Nations population fund has donated equipment worth millions of naira to the national population Commission to assist in its preparations for the 2023 national housing and population headcount.
The international Organization assured authorities of the commission at the UN House in Abuja on Friday that it remains committed to the success of the census.
The UN population fund has been one of the critical partners of the national population commission in the preparation for the 2023 National Population and Housing Census.



To demonstrate its commitment to the success of the 2023 Headcount, the fund
on Friday presented equipment worth millions of naira to the commission to aid its preparations for the 2023 national housing and population headcount.

Appreciating the UNFPA the chairman, national population commission, Isah Kwarra, said the gesture will greatly assist the commission in its post enumeration programme.
Kwarra however assured Nigerians that despite the postponement of the Governorship and state assemblies elections which may affect the initial date for conducting the 2023 Census, the exercise remains sacrosanct.
Items presented by the United Nations Population Fund included sixteen special computers designed for census and post enumeration exercises.
