2023: Opposition parties importing militants, arms into Cross River- Ayade

Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade has raised the alarm that opposition parties in the state have concluded plans to import militants from the Neighboring States of the country to wreak havoc on Strategic parts of the state during the general elections

Governor Ayade Stated this during the flag-off of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, a campaign in Ogoja, the Northern Part of the state.

The Governor said he will not allow any unlawful act in Cross River, saying the full weight of the law would be unleashed by the government to deal with the suspected criminals, who hide under politics to perpetrate criminalities.

He was joined by the Governorship Candidate of APC in Cross River State, Bassey Otu to make the case.

Ayade said security operatives have been duly informed and efforts are in place to smoke the criminals out of Cross River State.
