The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s Board of Trustees, Walid Jibrin has asked the leaders of the PDP to tow the path of peace in the interest of the nation and survival of the party.
Walid said this at the on-going National Executive Committee meeting of the PDP in Abuja.

Earlier a former Vice President of the Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar while reflecting on the historical gains of the party kicked against Zoning stressing the need for Justice, equity and fairness to prevail in the party’s decision on zoning of the Presidential Ticket.
But just as discussions got heated up in the NEC Hall, a group of aggrieved youths were seen outside the gate of wadata plaza protesting the party’s decision to Zone its executive office.
However, the Members of the PDP NEC, which is the second highest decision-making body of the party, are expected to take a final position on the recommendations of the Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi-led Zoning Committee, which advocated that the next national chairman of the party should come from the north.
