As the 2023 rainy season gradually creeps in, residents in Delta state, particularly those living in flood Prone communities want government to take proactive measures in preventing another deadly flood disaster.

With the rains here again, given that Delta state is highly prone to flooding, environment experts believe, perineal flood disaster can better be managed if residents are sensitized on safety precautions during the time of distress.
The Residents however, want government to act fast over the warnings received from the Nigerian meteorological agency indicating possible heavy flooding in 2023, by doing the needful to save life and property.
