Bayelsa state Governor, Douye Diri says his administration is prepared to collaborate with people of the state, home and in the diaspora in sustaining the progress attained and embarking on new initiatives that will further elevate the state.
This summed up the Governor’s message during a new year broadcast and the cross over service at his country home, Sampou in Kolokuma/Opokuma council area of the state.
It was a beautiful atmosphere at the Sampou country home of the Bayelsa state Governor as worshippers gathered to welcome the new year, 2025.
Governor Douye Diri while thanking God for a peaceful and successful 2024, admitted that it was characterized by economic challenges in the nation but expressed faith that 2025 will be a better year for the state and the country and that Bayelsa will be unstoppable.

Also during his new year broadcast Governor Douye Diri says with collective efforts the state can achieve greatness.
He assured that his administration will double its efforts to attract investments at both national and international levels.
