The Sultan of Sokoto, his eminence, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar the third has asked Candidates contesting the upcoming 2027 elections and their supporters to ensure peaceful campaigns and polls as the general elections draw near.
The Sultan who said this when he received members of the Savannah Centre’s Council of the Wise led by former Chief justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola at his Maitama Residence in Abuja also cautioned against hate speech before, during and after the elections.
