The prolonged crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Benue State seems to have been resolved following Sunday’s reconciliation meeting between the Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, the State Governor Hyacinth Alia and other relevant stakeholders of the party.
At the end of the closed-door session at the Government House Makurdi, both leaders agreed to bury the hatch and resolved that the party would now operate as a united entity.
As the clock begins to tick for the 2027 general elections, time is of the essence placing political parties in a last minute alignment with the ruling All Progressives Congress in Benue State caught in the web, necessitating this make or mar- high stake reconciliation meeting here at the Government House Makurdi.
National vice chairman of the APC North central Bawa Rijau and other stakeholders who witnessed the reconciliation expressed satisfaction with the outcome.
