Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has announced the nomination of the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service, Jerry Adams, as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election.
The governor says the choice reflects his administration’s commitment to inclusion, equity and competent leadership.
Governor Sani made the announcement in a statement, describing the nomination as a reaffirmation of the values of justice, fairness and inclusive governance that have guided his administration since assuming office in May 2023.
He said Kaduna’s religious, ethnic and cultural diversity remains one of the state’s greatest strengths and stressed the need to continue promoting unity, dialogue and peaceful coexistence.
According to the governor, his administration has implemented development projects across the 23 local government areas of the state, ensuring that no community is left behind in the delivery of roads, healthcare, education, agriculture, water supply and other essential services.
Governor Sani also noted that improved security and sustained engagement with traditional rulers, religious leaders and community groups have helped restore confidence, encouraged farming activities and supported economic growth in many parts of the state.
The governor described Jerry Adams as an accomplished public servant whose leadership at the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service has strengthened the state’s revenue generation through innovation, transparency and professionalism.
Governor Sani said Adams’ nomination reflects the administration’s commitment to merit, competence and character in leadership, urging residents to embrace the vision of a peaceful, united and prosperous Kaduna State beyond religious, ethnic or regional considerations.
He expressed confidence that together they would consolidate on the achievements of the current administration and continue to promote inclusive development across the state.
