President Bola Tinubu and other Presidential aspirants in the All Progressives Congress, APC, are to pay N100 million each as expression of interest and nomination for the 2027 election.

According to a notice issued by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, the sale of forms will begin on Saturday, April 25 to May 2, 2026.

The cost of Presidential nomination form for the 2027 election remains unchanged compared to the 2023 election.

Governorship Aspirants will pay N50 million for nomination and expression of interest while those who aspire to be senators will purchase their forms with N20 million.

House of Representatives is N10 million while state houses of Assembly seats will cost N6 million.

Financial returns for the sale of form is expected to be minimal compared to 2022 considering that majority of the positions have been filled through consensus.

For instance, 23 aspirants picked the Presidential nomination forms in the build up to the 2023 election before the party cleared 13 for the primaries.

This time around, President Tinubu is not expected to get a challenger within the party thereby shortchanging the ruling party of over N2 billion.

The notice from the party Secretariat also set timelines for screening of aspirants, screening appeals and primary elections.
