Presidential candidate of the Liberation People’s Party, LPP Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba has pledged to change government’s approach to subsidies with a rebate system designed to directly support Nigerians who pay for essential services.
Nwajiuba made the pledge at the party’s National Convention after his unveiling in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
While outlining his vision in what he described as a Nigeria anchored on peace, prosperity and economic freedom, he said that his proposed government would provide rebate to citizens who pay for electricity and other necessities.
Chairman of the National Planning Committee, Ibrahim Mohammed Biu acknowledged that the LPP was a young political party, urging party faithful to mobilise for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The LPP National Convention featured the unveiling of Nwajiuba as the party’s presidential candidate.
