The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, has dismissed reports alleging a secret alliance with the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, describing the claims as a smear campaign aimed at weakening the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
NDC National Chairman, Cleopas Zuwoghe, made the clarification on Saturday, insisting that the party remains committed to challenging the APC, which he accused of plunging Nigerians into economic hardship.
The NDC also announced plans to inaugurate its Presidential Campaign Council, as part of preparations for the 2027 elections, declaring its readiness to contest all elective positions across the country.
