Labour Party, LP presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, says he hopes to build a Nigeria where a child of nobody can become somebody without knowing anybody.
He made the remark during a visit to Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed
Peter Obi who is now a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, arrived at the Presidential Lounge of the Bauchi Government House on Thursday, accompanied by a delegation of South-East stakeholders.

Speaking with journalists after a closed-door session, Obi described the visit as a strategic effort to foster national unity. He expressed grave concern over the country’s current trajectory, stressing that a collective reversal
is needed to prevent further decline.
In response, Governor Mohammed appreciated the visit, noting that discussions centered on creating a common platform for national development.
Beyond politics, Obi’s visit included a significant investment in the state’s education and healthcare sectors. The former governor presented scholarship cheques totaling N25 million to three institutions, emphasising that investing in human infrastructure is the most effective way to lift Nigerians out of poverty.
