Three of the remaining seven girls from the Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri, have been freed from bandits.
The Chairman of the Parents of the Abducted School Girls Forum, Salim Kaoje, informed journalists in Birninkebbi, that those released are already with the Kebbi State Government.
Kaoje said the parents have paid an undisclosed amount of money to rescue the girls.
He said this was after they sold their properties and raised funds that saw many citizens assist the parents financially.

On 17th June 2012, the Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri was attacked by bandits, where 96 students were abducted.
For now there remain four of the girls who are still being held by the bandits.
