3 policemen, 5 others die as petrol-laden vehicle, bullion van crash in Kebbi

Three policemen and five others have died as a vehicle used for smuggling petrol crashed into a bank’s bullion van and burst into flames in Kebbi state

The bullion van, 4 other motor vehicles and 1 motorcycle also caught fire in the accident which occurred on the Argungu – Birninkebbi road in Kebbi State.

The accident occurred when a Toyota Carina motor vehicle carrying jerry cans of petrol was being chased by a Nigeria Customs Service patrol team from Birninkebbi.

On getting to Jeda Village in Argungu local government, the car had a head-on collision with the bullion van, bursting into flames.
The Police in Kebbi confirmed the incident and assured members of the public that a thorough investigation is being carried out.
