Around three thousand athletes from forty polytechnics across Nigeria are expected to compete at the 21st Nigeria Polytechnic Games (NIPOGA) holding at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State between 14-22 January,2023.
Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee and Rector of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic,Gani Ogundahunsi in a media briefing expressed the readiness of his institution to host a competition of high standard.
Ogundahunsi said adequate security arrangements have been put in place to ensure hitch free activities before, during and after the games.

He said the programme is being organised to foster unity among the participating institutions, adding that it will also enhance tracking for future national engagements.
The last edition of the polythenic games was held in 2020 at the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, where Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti came first while Yaba College of Technology finished second.
