Kaduna State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Reverend Joseph Hayap who confirmed this to ait.live said the students were released on Saturday evening, and were immediately reunited with their families.

He said there was no need to keep the students a day longer because they have suffered enough, hence there was no need for any ceremony that will require media coverage.

Reverend Hayap said that they are hopeful to secure the release of the remaining 33 students still in the custody of the bandits.

The 32 students are now the third batch of students released by the bandits following the release of 15 on Sunday, August 22.

It would be recalled that President of the Baptist Conference in Kaduna State, Ishaya Jangado said that the bandits contacted them to pay some amount to secure the release of the students.
