Three Nigerians youths stranded at the Suvarnabhumi airport, Thailand as a result of the Covid19 travel ban, are on their way home along with 29 others from Thailand.
The Nigerians in Diaspora Commissions on its official Twitter handle said the evacuation was facilitated by the Nigerian Ambassador to Thailand, Ambassador Bamalli, acting on a tweet from one Richard Barrow concerning the plight of the stranded Nigerian youths at the airport.
Richard Barrow, a Thailand citizen on May 17 had drawn the attention of the Nigerian government to the plight of those stranded youths in Suvarnahbhumi airport in his tweet.

The tweet read: ” Apparently there are some Nigerians trapped at Suvarnahbhumi airport for the last two months just like in the movie Terminal. They cannot enter Thailand and they cannot go home. What is heartwarming is that the ordinary Thailands are helping them.”
The stranded Nigerians are to be airlifted on a chartered Airpeace Flight APK-7813 fromThailand.
The flight is expected to depart Kaula Lumpur to Abuja and Lagos and all the passengers shall proceed on self isolation as prescribed by NCDC.
