A Turkish Airline that evacuated 238 Nigerians and an infant from Cyprus has landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, the nation’s capital. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, made this known in a tweet on his personal Twitter handle.
The Minister in another tweet also said 86 other Nigerians are being conveyed from Ankara, Turkey on an Air Peace flight. They are estimated to arrive at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos at about 9 pm. Some of the returnees will be brought to Abuja.

Onyeama said “All evacuees will then Self-Isolate for the mandatory 14 days” as directed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC. They will be tested within 72 hours of their arrival and at the end of their isolation before they can receive their international passports which will be held by the Nigeria Immigration Service.
